As we understand it, Tuvok must have first seen the light of day in 1996, and turned up at Cat Call, run by the estimable Julie Child, in 1997, the year that Sybilla and I were married and purchased our first house together. He was one of two cats along with Neelix, a huge tabby ball of fur and fire, that we took home. Neelix made the young Tuvok’s life a misery for the two weeks or so that we could bear it – they did NOT get on – until Neelix was thankfully rehomed on a big farm outside the town and Tuvok became ‘the one’, putting on weight, fur and attitude at an alarming rate to become one of the most handsome cats we’d ever come across. He loved the house and the choice of beds and exploited them fully.

Not burning so bright as we’d like … read this sobering article

Most of this is beyond my understanding. I can’t imagine destroying anything so beautiful for monetary gain – a deep black sin punishable for eternity in a tiger-based Heaven, I hope. And who is buying the skins?
Interior, daytime … guests arriving …
Justin – “Daphne! Fenella! Piers! Come in everyone, the party’s underway. We’re getting as many people to stand on the tiger skin as possible for the Guinness Book of Records! [laughs - Fwafwafwa!]”
Hope I never meet someone who thinks wild animal skins are OK … is all

Catblog – update
Khan
Still big, still black — and well chunky, as he piles on the pounds for the Winter. He has a little lump in his side – we suspect that in his thrashing and biting outside life, he may well have a feline hernia – Mr Cooper will let us know next week!
Sarek
The senior member of the team, he moves sleekly through life as the weather and the humans (and their actions) roll off his ginger sides like water off an otter’s back. He’s the only thing that keeps the covers in place on many a chilly Autumnal evening
Ezri
The wind, the rain, the dark, dark night – she loves it! Darting through the undergrowth with her fur rippling in the wind, Ezri is a shadow, a rumour, a terrified tale told before a roaring fire when the darkness presses against the cottage windows. But very, very sweet … all the same

You want some? I got some ... ah, fuggedaboutit

She's black, she's white, she's looking for a fight, Ezzeri ...
Mr Sarek – seen here in a relaxed moment, having come off his wheels - is the senior member of the trio of cats that run the house for us. Feast your eyes – that’s well ginger! Also in the committee, Khan and Ezri. Khan runs security and Ezri is in charge of PR and Marketing. More will follow, no doubt …

Mmmm ... nubbly
Like it says, a poorly feline needs all the good will she can get … Mr Cooper is in the saddle, so the care is sorted, the rest is in the lap of Bubastis

First post on this new WordPress blog. Hard day at work – such very rude people, all with unbelievably wonky websites but all eager, nay, champing at the bit to criticize people on a fraction of the salary struggling with an inherited arse of a website and whose first instinct seems to be to harangue rather than help … ho hum, time for customization and widgets … in the meantime, feast your eyes on the beautiful Ezri below — 2′ 3″ of killing machine

Ezri and those laser eyes, seen under the sofa not so long ago
